Meta Just Made Muse AI Available To A Whole New Set Of Customers

  • Meta Platforms is expanding its Muse AI agent into small-business operations, adding integrations with major business software as the company builds a broader enterprise AI business.

Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ: META) launched Muse for Small Business on Sept. 29, expanding the AI agent beyond individual users and into business operations. The launch follows Meta’s introduction of Meta Enterprise Platform a day earlier.

Muse can connect with Shopify, QuickBooks, Stripe, Canva, Slack, Notion, Box, Dropbox, Figma, Asana and Zoom, as well as Facebook and Instagram business accounts, according to Meta.

Axios reported that about one-third of early Muse users were already connecting the agent to business accounts, according to Meta Vice President of AI Products Vishal Shah.

Muse Moves Into Business Operations

Meta says small-business owners can use Muse to analyze sales and marketing information, review financial performance, prepare customer communications, and assist with advertising campaigns.

The integrations allow Muse to work with information already stored across business platforms. Shopify can provide commerce data, QuickBooks can provide accounting information, while Stripe can connect the agent to payment activity. Creative and collaboration tools expand Muse into marketing and workplace tasks.

Muse can also use information from Facebook Pages, Instagram and Meta advertising accounts when businesses grant access.

The move builds on Muse's September launch, when Meta introduced the product as a personal AI agent capable of tasks including sending emails, booking travel and making purchases.

Meta says users remain in control of connected accounts and actions. Axios reported that Muse is available through free and paid tiers, with subscriptions priced at $20 and $100 per month.

The company is also developing paid business services through Meta One, which includes professional tools and expanded access to Meta Business Agent.

Meta Builds a Dedicated Enterprise AI Platform

Meta’s small-business push is part of a larger enterprise strategy.

The company introduced Meta Enterprise Platform on Sept. 28, bringing together Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, and Muse Code for businesses and developers. Meta said the platform is intended to help organizations deploy its AI technology in business environments.

Meta also hired Chirantan “CJ” Desai, the former CEO and president of MongoDB Inc. (NASDAQ: MDB), as chief enterprise platform officer. Desai reports directly to CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Reuters reported that MongoDB shares fell about 18% following the announcement.

The enterprise expansion comes as Meta continues to invest heavily in AI infrastructure.

Meta reported $60.8 billion in second-quarter revenue, up 28% year over year, while capital expenditures reached $31.08 billion. The company expects full-year 2026 capital expenditures of $130 billion to $145 billion, according to its latest results.

The company has not provided a specific revenue forecast for Muse for Small Business or Meta Enterprise Platform.

The latest launches nevertheless expand Meta’s AI strategy from consumer assistants toward software that can be used across commerce, finance, marketing and workplace operations.

The next measurable factors will be adoption, paid subscriptions and how widely businesses use Muse across their existing software systems.
