The Powerball Jackpot Has Now Crossed $467 Million, Here's When The Next Drawing Will Happen
  • The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $467 million after no ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing, with the next drawing scheduled for Monday, Oct. 5.

The Powerball jackpot is now estimated at $467 million after the Saturday, Oct. 3 drawing produced no grand-prize winner. The official Powerball results show the winning numbers were 4, 42, 44, 55 and 59, with 14 as the Powerball and a 2X Power Play multiplier.

The jackpot for Saturday's drawing had been advertised at $440 million. With no ticket matching all five white balls and the Powerball, the top prize rolled forward to Monday night.

Powerball currently lists the next jackpot at $467 million, with an estimated cash value of $192.4 million before taxes. Those figures represent two different payout choices available to a jackpot winner rather than two separate prizes.

The official Powerball jackpot page confirms that the next drawing will take place Monday, Oct. 5, at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The latest drawing did produce a million-dollar winner. Powerball's results show one ticket sold in Arizona matched all five white balls but missed the Powerball, earning the standard $1 million Match 5 prize.

The Saturday result continues a sequence of rollovers that has pushed the jackpot higher from $298 million in mid-September to its current $467 million level.

When Is the Next Powerball Drawing?

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, at 10:59 p.m. ET. Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at the same time. Players select five white-ball numbers from 1 through 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 through 26. A standard Powerball play costs $2, while the Power Play option costs an additional $1 and can increase eligible non-jackpot prizes.

The odds of winning the jackpot remain unchanged regardless of how large the prize becomes. Powerball lists the odds of matching all five white balls and the Powerball at approximately 1 in 292.2 million. The overall odds of winning any Powerball prize are approximately 1 in 24.9.

That distinction is important as the jackpot grows. A larger advertised prize does not make an individual ticket more likely to win. The underlying odds remain the same for every drawing.

Powerball's prize and odds information also shows that matching all five white balls without the Powerball normally produces a $1 million prize. Power Play can increase that prize to $2 million. The Saturday drawing's 2X multiplier therefore had no effect on the jackpot itself. Power Play applies to eligible non-jackpot prizes.

The lottery's Double Play feature provides another potential opportunity in participating jurisdictions. For an additional $1 per play, eligible tickets can be entered into a separate drawing using the same numbers after the main Powerball drawing.

$467 Million Powerball Jackpot vs. $192.4 Million Cash Option

The headline $467 million figure represents the estimated annuity value rather than an immediate cash payment. A jackpot winner can instead select the estimated $192.4 million cash option. Powerball's payout information states that the annuity is paid through 30 graduated payments over 29 years, with each annual payment increasing by 5%.

The cash option represents the amount available for a single payment before applicable taxes. The final advertised amounts can change depending on ticket sales and other factors used to calculate the jackpot. Taxes can also substantially reduce the amount a winner ultimately keeps. Federal and, where applicable, state or local taxes are separate from the advertised jackpot figures.

The latest rollover also means players holding tickets from Saturday's drawing should check all six numbers rather than looking only for a jackpot match. Lower-tier prizes are awarded for matching different combinations of white balls and the Powerball.

The official Powerball results should be used when checking tickets because state lottery records and claim procedures govern the validation of winning tickets.

For Monday's drawing, the key figures are straightforward: $467 million estimated annuity jackpot, $192.4 million estimated cash value, and a 10:59 p.m. ET drawing time. The jackpot will continue to roll over if no ticket matches all five white balls and the red Powerball.
